📍 Local Knowledge

L'Hermitage in Côte d'Azur is an exposed beach and reef break that only works once in a while, with the summer months typically remaining flat. It performs best with a south swell and offshore winds from the north, though waves are much more likely to be generated by local windswells than distant groundswells. The spot is highly versatile, offering both left and right-handers across the beach along with left and right reef breaks, all of which remain surfable at all stages of the tide. While inconsistent, it can become crowded when conditions align, and surfers should be mindful of hazards like rocks and sea urchins.
