📍 Local Knowledge

Le Manege is an exposed reef break with inconsistent surf, making winter the most reliable season for finding rideable waves. It performs best with a west-southwest swell and offshore winds from the east-northeast, benefiting from some natural shelter against northerly winds. Waves are much more likely to be generated by local windswells than distant groundswells, and the spot is notably versatile, as it remains surfable at all stages of the tide. Despite its reef classification, there is no distinct reef break here. A significant advantage is that it very rarely gets crowded, though surfers should remain alert for submerged rocks within the lineup.
