Le Lido is a fairly exposed beach break that frequently remains flat during the summer months. It performs best with a south-southwest swell and offshore winds from the north-northeast, benefiting from some natural shelter against southerly winds, though it is easily blown out by onshore breezes. While local windswells are the most common source of energy, groundswells do occasionally reach the shore, producing both left and right-handers. When the surf is up, the lineup can become quite busy. Surfers should exercise caution due to hazards such as strong rips and the proximity of the cliffs.
