Almanarre in Côte d'Azur is an exposed beach break that works infrequently, with the summer months typically remaining flat. It performs best with a southwest swell and offshore winds from the east, though local windswells are far more typical here than distant groundswells. The beach provides both left and right-handers and is notably versatile, as the surf remains rideable at all stages of the tide. When the conditions align, the lineup can become crowded. Surfers should exercise caution and stay alert for high-speed traffic in the water, as the area is very popular with windsurfers and kitesurfers.
