Vila Real de Santo Antonio is an exposed beach break in The Algarve that does not work very often, with Summer offering the best conditions for surfing. The most favorable conditions are a South-Southwest windswell combined with offshore winds from the North-Northeast. The break offers both left and right waves and its quality isn't affected by the tide. The spot is unlikely to be crowded, even when there are waves. The best time for consistent, clean waves is typically in November.
