📍 Local Knowledge

Sesimbra is a fairly exposed beach and point break in the Setúbal region that has reasonably consistent surf, with winter being the favored time of year for surfing. The breaks offer both left and right-hand waves and perform best with a southwest swell combined with offshore winds from the north or northeast. The spot can get moderately crowded, especially during peak season. The best time for consistent, clean waves is typically in January.
