Ribeira Quente Left on Ilha de São Miguel in the Azores is a left‑breaking reef/jetty‑enhanced point that offers rideable lefts over uneven reef right by a sea defense structure, with waves often peeling harder off the jetty and sometimes finishing in the beach break. It tends to work best with southerly and southeast swells that wrap into the left and offshore winds from the north, giving cleaner faces across low to high tides, and is generally less crowded than many nearby spots. The bottom is uneven reef and rocky, with a heavier, punchier take‑off than a simple beach break. The best month to surf Ribeira Quente Left is August.
