Rabo de Peixe on Ilha de São Miguel in the Azores is an exposed reef break with quite reliable surf year-round. It works best with north to north-northwest swells and offshore winds from the south, picking up both groundswells and windswells equally. The break offers both left and right reef waves and remains uncrowded even when the surf is up. The best month to surf Rabo de Peixe is February, when winter swells and offshore winds most consistently provide clean, rideable conditions.
