Praia Nova is an exposed beach break in Lisbon that offers very consistent surf year-round, featuring both left and right-hand waves (A-Frame). The most favorable conditions are a Southwest to West-Northwest swell combined with offshore winds from the Northeast to East. The break provides good surf at all stages of the tide. The bottom is composed of sand and rocks. The spot is generally sometimes crowded. Surfers should be aware of localism and rocks on the right side. The best time for consistent, clean waves is typically in December.
