Praia do Túnel in the Algarve is an exposed beach break that only offers surf occasionally, performing best with west to southwest swells and offshore winds from the east or northeast. The sandy-bottom setup produces mellow lefts and rights, generally cleaner around mid tide. Surf here is inconsistent—often flat in summer—but can offer small, playful waves when winter swells reach the south-facing Algarve coast. Crowds are usually light, making it a relaxed spot whenever conditions come together.
