Praia Azul in Peniche is an exposed beach break that offers fairly consistent surf year-round, with optimal conditions when west swells meet offshore easterly winds. The spot produces a mix of left and right-hand peaks, powered mainly by groundswells, and works best around mid to high tide. Despite its reliability, Praia Azul remains relatively uncrowded compared to nearby breaks, offering a more relaxed surf experience. The most consistent clean waves occur during winter, particularly in December, when swell and wind align for smooth, rideable conditions.
