Nazaré is an exposed beach break in North Portugal that offers quite reliable surf year-round, featuring both left and right-hand waves. The most favorable conditions are a West swell (from windswells or groundswells) combined with offshore winds from the East. The break is surfable at all stages of the tide. The spot very rarely gets crowded for the beach break waves. The best time for consistent, clean waves is typically in December.
