It works best with west to northwest swells and offshore winds from the southeast, producing cleaner faces at mid to high tide, and can handle both groundswells and stronger long‑period swell energy when it fills in. The bottom is primarily uneven rocky reef and point, creating a more defined take‑off and shaping the wave but also presenting hazards such as rocks.
