Molhe Leste in Peniche is a fairly exposed sandbar break that performs best with swells from the southwest and offshore winds from the east-northeast. This spot offers predominantly left-hand waves that can form fast, powerful walls when conditions align. While it can produce quality surf during winter, it’s generally inconsistent, with summer often remaining flat. The wave works best on clean, mid-sized swells, and localism can occasionally be an issue in the lineup. The best surf typically occurs during winter, particularly in January.
