πŸ“ Local Knowledge

Lagide is a reasonably exposed reef break in Peniche that offers quite reliable surf year-round, featuring a left-hand reef break. The most favorable conditions are a North-Northwest swell from a mix of groundswells and windswells combined with offshore winds from the South. The break works best around mid tide when the tide is rising. When the surf is up, crowds are likely. Surfers should be aware of urchins and rocks. The best time for consistent, clean waves is typically in January.
