πŸ“ Local Knowledge

Ilha Deserta is a fairly exposed beach break in The Algarve that offers very consistent surf, with Summer offering the best conditions for surfing. The most favorable conditions are a South swell from a mix of groundswells and windswells combined with offshore winds from the North-Northwest. The break offers both left and right waves and provides good surf at all stages of the tide. The spot is an uncrowded break, even when it is working. Surfers should be aware of dangerous rips. The best time for consistent, clean waves is typically in January.
