πŸ“ Local Knowledge

Foz do Arelho is an exposed beach break in Peniche that only works when conditions are just right with no set seasonal pattern, featuring both left and right-hand waves. The most favorable conditions are a West swell (from groundswells or windswells) combined with offshore winds from the Southeast. The break works best around mid tide. When the surf is up, it can get quite busy in the water. The best time for consistent, clean waves is typically in December.
