πŸ“ Local Knowledge

Figueira da Foz is an exposed beach and reef break in North Portugal that does not work very often with no set seasonal pattern, featuring both left and right-hand waves. The most favorable conditions are a West swell from a mix of groundswells and windswells combined with offshore winds from the East. The spot is a fairly popular wave that can sometimes get crowded. Surfers should be aware of rips and rocks. The best time for consistent, clean waves is typically in December.
