Canidelo is an exposed point break in Douro and Minho that only works when conditions are just right, and is typically flat in summer. The most favorable conditions are a West swell (from windswells or groundswells) combined with offshore winds from the East-Southeast. The location means that it never gets crowded. Surfers should be aware of rocks and man-made danger (buoys etc.). The best time for consistent, clean waves is typically in December.
