πŸ“ Local Knowledge

Barranco da Belharucas is an exposed sandbar break in The Algarve that is typically flat in summer, featuring both left and right-hand waves. The most favorable conditions are a South swell from a mix of groundswells and windswells combined with offshore winds from the North-Northeast. The break is an uncrowded break, even when it is working. Surfers should be aware of rocks. The best time for consistent, clean waves is typically in May.
