Afife is an exposed beach break in North Portugal that offers reliable surf and can work year-round, featuring both left and right-hand waves. The most favorable conditions are a West swell (from groundswells or windswells) combined with offshore winds from the East. The break provides good surf at all stages of the tide. When the surf is up, it can get quite busy in the water. The best time for consistent, clean waves is typically in December.
