La Tranche-sur-Mer in the Côte de Lumière is a reasonably consistent exposed beach and jetty break that can produce rideable waves throughout the year. This spot relies heavily on groundswells, performing at its peak with a West-southwest swell angle. It offers both left and right-hand peaks, and because it is a popular coastal hub, it can sometimes get crowded in the lineup. A unique characteristic of this break is its preference for Northwest offshore winds, which is quite distinct for this stretch of coastline. While many Atlantic spots thrive in the colder months, La Tranche-sur-Mer is a standout for the Summer season, with July being the prime month for finding consistent, clean waves.
