πŸ“ Local Knowledge

La Courance in Brittany is an exposed beach and reef break that has inconsistent surf. Winter is the favoured time of year for surfing here. Works best in offshore winds from the north. Most of the surf here comes from groundswells and the optimum swell angle is from the southwest. Waves at the beach break both left and right as well as a right hand reef break. It very rarely gets crowded here. Submerged rocks are a hazard. The best conditions reported for surf at La Courance occur when a Southwest swell combines with an offshore wind direction from the North. The best time of year for surfing La Courance with consistent clean waves (rideable swell with light / offshore winds) is during Summer and most often the month of June.
