Rockaway Beach in North Oregon is an exposed beach break known for consistent surf year-round, offering both left and right-hand waves. It works best on groundswells with an ideal swell angle from the northwest, while the best wind direction is from the east, creating offshore conditions. The spot is rarely crowded but has hazards such as rips and rocks. The best surf conditions occur when a northwest swell combines with an east offshore wind. The most consistent and clean waves typically happen during winter, especially in January.
