Poor conditions right now. Tiny waves under 1ft with quality 9s ground swell but strong 15kt winds making it choppy Note: winds from E would be better. Might want to wait for better conditions.

📍 Local Knowledge

Pacific City/Cape Kiwanda in North Oregon is an exposed beach and reef break with reasonably consistent surf year-round. It receives a balanced mix of windswells and groundswells, with the ideal swell direction from the west and offshore winds from the east. The beach break offers both left- and right-hand waves, complemented by a right-hand reef break. The spot works well at all tide stages and provides some shelter from north-northwest winds. It can sometimes get crowded, and surfers should be cautious of rip currents and sharks. The best conditions occur during winter, particularly in January, when clean, rideable waves are most frequent.
