It works well on both windswells and groundswells, with the ideal swell direction from the west and offshore winds from the east. The spot offers both left- and right-breaking waves and is partially sheltered from northwest winds. Surf quality is consistent throughout the year, with the best conditions typically occurring in winter, especially in January, when clean, rideable waves are most frequent. Crowds are common when the surf is good, and surfers should be cautious of rip currents and occasional shark activity.
