📍 Local Knowledge

Oceanside in North Oregon is a semi-exposed beach and reef break with consistent surf year-round. It receives a mix of windswells and groundswells, with ideal swell from the west to northwest and offshore winds from the east to southeast. The beach offers left- and right-hand peaks, with occasional right-handers over reef sections. It works across most tides, favoring mid to high, and gets some protection from southerly winds. Crowds are moderate; surfers should watch for strong rip currents and occasional sharks. Best conditions occur in winter, especially January, with powerful, clean surf most frequent.
