πŸ“ Local Knowledge

Moolack Beach in South Oregon is an exposed beach and reef break with reasonably consistent surf throughout the year. It works best with offshore winds from the east and receives a mix of groundswells and windswells, with the ideal swell direction coming from the west. The reef setup offers both left- and right-breaking waves, and surf quality remains reliable across all tide stages. The best conditions are typically found in winter, especially in January, when clean, rideable waves are most frequent. When it’s working, the spot can get crowded. Surfers should be mindful of strong rip currents and occasional shark activity.
