📍 Local Knowledge

Coos Bay-South Jetty in South Oregon is an exposed beach and jetty break with fairly consistent surf, though summers tend to be mostly flat. It performs best with a west swell and offshore winds from the southeast, receiving both local windswells and distant groundswells. The break offers both left and right hand waves and is best around mid tide. Rarely crowded, surfers should still watch for rips, sharks, and pollution. The most consistent clean waves occur during winter, especially in January.
