📍 Local Knowledge

Brookings Jetty in Oregon South is an exposed beach and jetty break with quite reliable surf year-round. The best winds are from the northeast, with some shelter from northwest winds. Surf here comes from both local windswells and distant groundswells, with an ideal swell angle from the southwest. The break offers both left and right hand waves and can sometimes get crowded. Hazards include rips, sharks, and rocks. The most consistent clean waves usually occur during winter, particularly in January.
