📍 Local Knowledge

Bastendorff Beach in South Oregon is an exposed beach break with quite reliable surf, though summer tends to be mostly flat. It performs best with a west swell and offshore winds from the southeast, receiving a mix of groundswells and windswells. Best conditions are around mid tide. The break offers both left and right hand waves and is rarely crowded. Surfers should watch out for rips, sharks, and pollution. Consistent clean waves are most common during winter, especially in January.
