Palavas - La Mairie in Languedoc-Roussillon is a fairly exposed beach break that works infrequently, with the summer months typically remaining flat. It performs best with a southeast swell and offshore winds from the north-northwest, though the spot also offers some shelter from south-southwesterly winds. While it primarily relies on local windswells, groundswells do occasionally occur, producing both left and right-handers. A notable advantage is that the spot remains surfable at all stages of the tide; however, it is often crowded when working. Surfers should remain cautious of rocks, rips, and potential pollution, particularly after heavy rainfall.
