Argelès-Sur-Mer in Languedoc-Roussillon is an exposed beach break that works infrequently, with the summer months typically remaining flat. It performs best with an east-southeast swell and offshore winds from the west, though the spot does offer some shelter from northerly winds. Windswells are much more common here than groundswells, producing both left and right-handers that remain surfable at all stages of the tide. Even when the conditions are optimal, the break tends to remain uncrowded, offering a peaceful session for those who catch it working.
