📍 Local Knowledge

Savu Left is a fairly exposed left-hand reef break in Timor that offers unreliable waves, with the best time for surfing being the dry season from May to October. Optimal conditions occur when a west swell combines with offshore winds from the southeast. The spot is unlikely to be crowded, even when the surf is on, but surfers should be aware of rocks. The best time for consistent, clean waves is typically in July.
