📍 Local Knowledge

Les Bourdaines in Aquitaine is an exposed beach and jetty break that usually has waves and functions year-round. This spot provides both left and right-handers fueled by an equal mix of local windswells and distant groundswells; while it is best surfed around low tide, it can get quite crowded when the conditions are on. Visitors should remain vigilant of common hazards, including strong rip currents, a heavy shorebreak, and dense crowds in the water. The best conditions occur when a West swell combines with East offshore winds, with October being the prime month for consistent, clean waves.
