Port d'Albret in Aquitaine is an exposed beach break offering dependable surf that remains active throughout the year. This spot, located near the saltwater lake and the mouth of the Courant de Soustons, produces both left and right-hand waves fueled by a balanced mix of local windswells and distant groundswells. A significant benefit of Port d'Albret is that it is unlikely to be too crowded, even when the conditions are prime. The best surf occurs when a West swell meets East offshore winds, with October being the most reliable month for clean, consistent waves.
