Nauzan in the Côte de Lumière is an exposed beach break that offers pretty consistent surf, though it is prone to being mostly flat during the summer months. This spot primarily favors right-hand waves fueled by distant groundswells. Because it sits in a slightly more tucked position near Royan compared to the wilder Côte Sauvage, it requires specific conditions to really turn on. The best conditions occur when a West swell combines with Northeast offshore winds, with September typically offering the best window for consistent, clean sessions.
