📍 Local Knowledge

Le Porge in Aquitaine is an exposed beach break known for its quite reliable surf that remains active throughout the year. This spot produces both left and right-hand waves, receiving an equal mix of local windswells and distant groundswells. Like its neighbor Lacanau, it is highly versatile and often offers good surf at all stages of the tide. However, its popularity with locals and visitors means the water can get quite busy when the conditions are firing. The best conditions occur when a West swell combines with East offshore winds, with October being the prime month for consistent, clean waves.
