Lafitenia in La Côte Basque is an exposed reef and point break that offers quite reliable surf and can work at any time of the year. This spot features a world-class right-hand reef break fueled by an equal measure of local windswells and distant groundswells; while it is a consistent location, it is highly likely to be crowded when working, and visitors should be wary of both the crowds and submerged rocks. The best conditions occur when a West swell combines with Southeast offshore winds, with October being the prime month for consistent, clean waves.
