Lacanau - Supersud in the Gironde is an exposed beach break that offers fairly consistent surf year-round. While it shares the same coastline as the main Lacanau peaks, this spot primarily relies on groundswells to produce its lefts and rights. A standout feature is that it remains surfable at all stages of the tide and is a much quieter alternative to the central town breaks, as it very rarely gets crowded. The best conditions occur when a West swell combines with East-southeast offshore winds, with October typically providing the best window for consistent, clean waves.
