Le 46 on the Côte Sauvage in Charente-Maritime is an exposed beach break that offers fairly consistent surf and remains functional throughout the year. This spot provides both left and right-hand waves fueled by a mix of groundswells and windswells; notably, it is a versatile location that holds good surf at all stages of the tide. A significant draw is the lack of crowds, with relatively few surfers in the lineup even on the best days. The best conditions occur when a West swell combines with East offshore winds, with October being the prime month for consistent, clean waves.
