La Pointe Espagnole on the Côte Sauvage is an exposed beach break in Charente-Maritime that offers quite reliable surf and can work year-round. This spot produces both left and right-hand waves fueled by an equal measure of local windswells and distant groundswells. One of its greatest draws is that it is rarely crowded, providing a more solitary experience compared to the busier hubs. The best conditions occur when a West swell combines with East offshore winds, with October being the prime month for consistent, clean waves.
