📍 Local Knowledge
Contis Plage in the Landes is an exposed beach break known for its raw beauty and quiet lineup. This spot primarily depends on groundswells to produce its left and right-hand waves. Unlike many of the neighboring breaks that favor a direct west swell, Contis performs best with a Northwest swell angle. Another defining feature is its lack of crowds; it remains a peaceful alternative where it is very rarely busy in the water. The best conditions occur when that Northwest swell combines with East-southeast offshore winds, with October being the prime month for consistent, clean waves.
