📍 Local Knowledge

Cap de l'Homy in the Landes is an exposed sandbar break renowned for its very consistent surf, remaining active and rideable all year round. This spot produces both lefts and rights, primarily fueled by distant groundswells. A significant draw for this location is its versatility, as it generally offers good surf at all stages of the tide. Despite its reliability, the lineup is rarely crowded, making it a great escape for those willing to venture off the beaten path. However, surfers should remain highly vigilant of strong rip currents and undertow, which are common in this area. The best conditions occur when a West swell combines with East-southeast offshore winds, with October being the prime month for consistent, clean waves.
