📍 Local Knowledge

Arna Plage in the Landes is an exposed beach break that offers reasonably consistent surf throughout the year. This spot produces both left and right-handers, receiving an equal measure of local windswells and distant groundswells. It is a versatile choice, providing good surf at all stages of the tide, though surfers should note that the beach has no shelter from cross-shore breezes. While it can sometimes get crowded, it is important to be aware of the "Private beach" status of certain access points. The best conditions occur when a West swell combines with East-southeast offshore winds, with October being the prime month for consistent, clean waves.
