Anglet - Les Dunes in La Côte Basque is an exposed beach break that offers reasonably consistent surf and can work at any time of the year. This spot provides both left and right-hand waves fueled by an equal measure of groundswells and windswells; while it offers some shelter from southwest winds and is best surfed around high tide, it can become quite busy when the surf is up. Because crowds can reach hazardous levels, wearing a helmet is a sensible precaution. The best conditions occur when a West swell combines with East offshore winds, with October being the prime month for consistent, clean waves.
