πŸ“ Local Knowledge

Anglet - Le Furoncle in La CΓ΄te Basque is a fairly exposed breakwater break that, unlike many surrounding spots, tends to be flat during the summer months. This location primarily produces left-hand waves fueled by groundswells; notably, even when the surf is up, crowds are virtually unknown here. However, visitors must be extremely cautious of hazards including strong rip currents, undertow, and submerged rocks. The best conditions occur when a West swell combines with East-southeast offshore winds, with February being the prime month for consistent, clean waves.
