📍 Local Knowledge

Ninety Mile Beach (Northland) is an exposed beach break that consistently picks up distant groundswells, working best with a southwest swell and east-northeast offshore winds. The break offers both left and right-hand waves, with **autumn—especially February—**providing the most reliable clean surf conditions. The spot is rarely crowded but beware of strong rips and soft sand. There’s no natural shelter from cross-shore winds, so conditions can change quickly.
