Le Petits Dalles in Normandy is an exposed reef break with fairly consistent surf, though the summer months tend to be mostly flat. It performs best with a southwest swell and offshore winds from the south-southeast, receiving an equal mix of local windswells and distant groundswells. The reef provides both left and right-handers and is best surfed around mid-tide. Surfers should remain cautious, as rocks in the lineup present a notable hazard. The most consistent clean waves typically occur during the winter, particularly in November.
