Le Grand Large in Normandy is an exposed beach break that offers fairly consistent surf, though summer months tend to be mostly flat. It performs best with a west swell and offshore winds from the east, receiving a mix of groundswells and windswells. The spot provides both left and right-handers across the beach, and because it is rarely busy, crowds are never a problem here. The most consistent clean waves typically occur during the spring, particularly in April.
